About Us
The Foundation
There is one God who created all things. In order to save us, He became man. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, Emmanuel — God with us (Matthew 1:23).
In its original manuscripts, the Bible is the inspired word of God, and it reveals the will of God to the human race. Therefore, the Holy Scriptures are the final authority in matters of faith and truth.
The gospel of the kingdom is the message that the church of Jesus Christ is commissioned to teach. The gospel of the kingdom declares that the days of human government are numbered and that God will soon set up a kingdom that shall never pass away (Daniel 2:44). When the kingdom of God is established, Jesus will reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.
Jesus explained you must be born again. He then declared that being born again was essential for entrance into the kingdom of God (John 3:1-5). Jesus Christ purchased the only salvation available to the human race at Calvary.
The Gospel, which is the Death Burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, was established at Calvary.
Once you have been born again, you must continue to live a life submitted to Jesus Christ. Those who continue to live a submitted life to Jesus will be rewarded with eternal life when Jesus returns. (Rev. 5:9-10)
If you have never experienced Pentecost, then Winona Pentecostal Church invites you to come and experience for yourself the joy of receiving the Holy Spirit.
Our Beliefs
- Winona Pentecostal Church’s primary goal is to build lives from the inside out and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
- We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
- We are an Apostolic Pentecostal church, which means that we endeavor to teach, and preach the same message that the Apostles did in the New Testament church.
- We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy, and compassion.
- We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven, earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
- We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism, we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and enter into a blood covenant with Him. Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38; Hebrews 12:24.
- We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:4
- We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps, and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
